Study after study suggests that obesity runs in families. According to the authors of these studies, it's like a pre-disposition or a genetic defect. Yet, if you look at recent obesity data, obesity among adults and children is growing at astonishing rates. It can't all be the parents' fault! But parents can transform their lives and the lives of their children and generations to follow.

"Get Rightsized with Family and Friends" is our next book in the Get Rightsized™ Series. We are working on it now as we speak. This book will show parents how they can make simple gradual changes in their home and their eating environment to help the whole family unit succeed together with a personalized approach for every member of the family.

How do we start? Even though our book is not out yet you can start by simply sizing the dishware of every member of the family. They are the precision tools you need to determine the right size portion for everyone in your family. The most important is the recognition that going forward every person in your family has their own, individual, optimal Food Portion Size. You do not wear the same size clothes or shoes. Why are you using the same size dishware and utensils when eating? Once everyone arrives at the optimum Food Portion Size you will automate the healthy eating process for every member of your family.

Once you conquer the eating process at home you will be able to help your family outside your home. All everyone will need to do is stick to their Rightsized meal every time they eat. Before you limit your food intake and especially your children's you need to get together with your Doctors to get their recommendations and help you decide how to gradually change the Food Portion Size for yourself or your family members.

The hardest adjustment to your eating may be the aspect that every member of your family has a different size dish, spoon, or  cup. This personalized approach to eating breaks our visual harmony. Yet when you go to the closet of every person they all have their style. Now you are styling their eatingware that fits their personality and their own need for optimal eating.
